“PROM: Promotion of the role of women at the local, institutional and economical level by the development of an integrated gender approach”

                            Main objectives of the project

iefh123.jpgThe starting points of the project are the results and first conclusions of two projects in which the ENTP is taking part actively: “The promotion of the role of fathers in the reconciliation between private and professional life” led by our organization (http://trof.newtowns.net) and “Migrant women: leadership at the local wageindicator123.jpglevel” (http://www.urbal12mujerinmigrada.org ) in which the ENTP is a partner.

The results of these projects emphasize the following points:
-  Work life balance is an issue for mothers and for parents in general who face more and more difficulties to conciliate femmes123.jpgprivate and professional life. The constraints do not only originate from a non implication from fathers in private life, as it is proven that implication of fathers is increasing, but constraints rather originate from social and economic difficulties faced vrouwenby parents towards employers and institutions thus preventing a good work life balance. In this context, women often decide to work part time to solve the problems faced by families as a whole
- Women are less and less discriminated at work and at institutional level. However vulnerable groups of women such as gisele123.jpgmigrant women or women with low education level concentrate difficulties and discriminations. Click here for the detailled project information.
